The trouble of Movie book adaptations!

Let's get straight to it.

So let me set the sense for you, your favourite characters have just had a death defying moment, in the book, that brought them closer and was your favourite part of the book. You wait all year for the movie of the book to come out and that special bit in the book never happens, they cut it out! Nightmare, right?

Many of our brilliant books these days are being made into these big movies that miss out half the book and cut out the best bits! For example, Mortal instruments city of bones, a truly beautiful book full of love! Turned into a bad movie that missed out all the good bits and didn't quite get the fandoms vision of it right and was sadly discontinued after not making enough money!

I do appreciate that it is hard to make a well written 400 page book into a measly 1-2h film but it still annoys me and many others!

So advice to anyone making a well loved book into a film talk to the author and fandom about it before making any final decisions!

Song of the Week #2

Okay, so the song that I have chosen this week is similar to the last one I did but also very different.

The song is Young Volcanoes by Fall Out Boy, off of the Save Rock And Roll album.

This song is fantastic, and I don't really know way. There was just something about it that drew me too keep listening when I first heard it, and you know that's a good thing. At least to me.

Fall Out Boy songs tend to have poetic lyrics, and I really like that about them. FOB is a great band when it comes to lyrics. If they didn't have the musical talent that they all posses, they could make it big as, like, a poetry quartet... although those probably don't exist. Do they? Who knows. Oh well.

Now I'm just gonna take a minute to talk about Fall Out Boy. FOB is for sure one of my favorite bands. There are four people in the band, Patrick Stump (singer/guitar), Pete Wentz (bass), Joe Trohman (guitar), and Andy Hurley (drums). And besides being fantastic artists, they actually aren't bad actors. The made it so the music videos to the Save Rock And Roll songs tell a story if you watch them in the right order. And it's not to pleasant of a story. There is a version on YouTube where they are all together and in order. It's titled The Young Blood Chronicles. I recommend watching it if you like Fall Out Boy, but *WARNING* as I said, this isn't a happy-go-lucky story. It is a dark, bloody, gory story. It's still exceptional video.

Okay, wow. This took a turn... I started talking about a pretty, poetic song and ended talking about a gory music video series. That's how conversations with me usually end up, though. I enjoy things like that. Like the Saw movies! Those are great!

No, get back on track. Whoo.

CLOUDS OBSESSED

Hey guys! I have to say that I'm a little bit obsessed with clouds and the sky. I always have got my camera with me so, I'm taking photos everywhere. Now, I'm gonna show some pictures with blue colors. I'll post soon a second part with beautiful purple colors. I don't want to be so tiring haha I'm gonna shut up and let you see the pictures. Angel based books!!!!!!!!

Hello again my fellow book worms!

Today's subject of talk is 'which of the many Angel based books out there are the best?'

After reading round a bit I finally came to a conclusion that all angel books are based on love and heartbreak. I almost guarantee that if you don't like two different angel stories your going to hate them all because they all have the same flow in them. But then again if you like love stories angel based books are definitely what you should be reading if you're not already.

So as a constant reader, I have short listed some of the best angel based books I have read, for you guys. Below I will explain what they're about, why they're so good (and some bad points, gotta love the bad points) and who their by.

To start off with,

The Angelfall series by Susan EE.

So basically in this series Angels have taken over Earth, sending humans into hiding (bit like a Zombie apocalypse sort of thing.) Penryn, her sister and her mum all live in fear of the Angels and the gangs patrolling their neighbourhood for left goods or Angels who they could kill and sell their wings. But Penryn stops being afraid when the Angels kidnap her sister. With the help of a wingless angel, Raffe and Penryn fight while falling into a forbidden love.

So as I said a love story, however this one has a bit of a twist. It's like a Zombie apocalypse apart from the zombies are the Angels. It is really good writing but in the first book they don't kiss till near the end so you spend most the book just thinking KISS ALREADY!!! But when they finally do it crushes your dreams. The end of the first book will leave you sad and crying but wanting to read the next book. However when reading the second book (world after) you will want to give up on it, don't, it gets better.

Also the Hush, hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick.

Patch is a fallen archangel and all he needs to do is kill Nora to get back into heaven, easy right? But when Patch starts to get closer to killing Nora he realises he's fallen in love with her. When hell comes knocking at Patch's and Nora's door will Patch kill his true love for his gate way back into heaven or sacrifice it all for her?

Once again a love story. This is a very traditional angel story as there's love, a problem and enemies. The first book is really good but it does go down hill from that. The writing is the type of writing that drones on for too long making it in some places a bore to read. But none the less it still makes it on to my short list just because of the pure quality of the first book to the series. Warning this is one of those books where you sit there like 'WELL WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT!'

The Fallen Series by Lauren Kate

Lucinda dies every time her true love kisses her, she is then re-born to be killed by the same kiss just in a different time period. But love never dies. Daniel, one of the fallen angels, is struck to the core when he kisses Luce and she kisses him back. He wanted that for an eternity, but he waited for her. With all their enemies closing in will Daniel give up on Luce or will he drag her down with him?

I told you they were all about love! A very well written book that keeps you reading. The third book is a bit of a bore but the ending to the last one will blow you away! I recommend you  read this but don't if you don't want to cry.

So these are the three series I recommend you should read! And if you're thinking of writing an Angel based story yourself remember to make it your own, make sure it stands out from others out there. Put your mark on it and give it feeling.

Hello. I've never done this before, but I'm excited to be trying. Let's see how it goes.

I wanted to talk a little bit about one of my favorite songs. It is by, in my opinion, a little bit of an under appreciated artist: Michael Buble. The song is called Just Haven't Met You Yet (or Haven't Met You Yet, not too sure but it doesn't really matter.) It's a good song by a good artist, don't judge me.

I guess the reason I picked this song to start with is because the song makes me feel cheerful, I don't know if it makes you feel that way. Michael Buble is a very talented artist and he has many good songs, but this one happens to be my favorite. 

Please check the song out! If you like it, great! If you don't, that's your opinion, and I wont judge you if you don't judge me. Deal? Deal.
